What made you fall in love with your dolls?

What made you fall in love with your dolls and bring them home?

I fell in love with Marisol because of her coloring, face mold and she was from Chicago. I did not like her book at all. I've had her a year and I'm still contemplating changing her name. I still adore her (and all my dolls).

I love Jess because I like asian dolls alot (I was thinking about buying another AGOT#4 and cutting her hair a little shorter and making her my Japanese doll). The new face mold kind of reminds me of at least 2 friends of mine. And she is an archeologist! My mom loves archeology. When I was a child, she would take me to the Field Museum and tell me all about Egyptian burial rituals and the like. Other people would listen in, too. Someone even asked my Mom if she worked at the museum!

Anyways, what is your doll's story?

I am also fascinated with Jess because of an interest in archeology. I love Felicity because of her time and her personality reminds me of me. Kirsten because I love pioneer stories and it makes me think of when I pretended to be a pioneer girl at my cabin growing up. I love Addy because her strong character and the message in her books. Finally I love Josie-who I dont have yet-because I love the closeness of her family and how it is centered around the rancho. The culture is so interesting as well. Oh, and I love Marisol the doll because she is so pretty but I actually did not like her book or any of her collection. So I renamed her Isabel and dress her in Josie's clothes.

The books! If it were not for the books for each character, I would not have gotten ANY AGs. Well... maybe Samantha only as I loved her since I was little and could never have her.

They are so cute! AG dolls are the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen and had. I am 51 years old and have been a doll fanatic all my life.

Their clothes and accessories are "top notch" quality and I literally have hours of fun with them! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Well, I loved my Our New Baby because she was MY baby when I was little. I loved all of my other dolls, but none were as special as Sarah. I loved Molly because she had glasses just like I did, and Kit because she had short hair, freckles, and a side part like me. I love Samantha because of her time period and her fancy dresses and accessories. And Nellie because I'm part Irish. Nellie also looks the most like me now. Lindsey is special because of her short curly hair and freckles. Marisol made me want her because I didn't have a hispanic doll, and she has curls, too. My AGoT 21 is special because she is my mini-me. Felicity is special because she was a gift from Lorie when my dad passed away. She still comforts me! Finally, Baby Megan is special and loved because I found her secondhand for two dollars.
